About Uschi
healer, coach/mentor, yoga & meditation teacher, mother and grandmother
Uschi’s story
Yoga entered my life at seventeen and set me on a lifelong path of inquiry into embodiment, wholeness, and human experience. It introduced me to a way of living that understands we cannot always change our external circumstances, but we can develop agency in how we meet them.
Over time, this became a lived understanding: that mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing are deeply interconnected, and that working with the body can shift our inner world just as the mind shapes the body. This has been the foundation of my work and interest ever since.
Alongside my long-standing practice and many years of teaching yoga, I hold a BA in Educational Psychology and have trained in holistic coaching, nutritional sciences, mindset coaching, natural birth education, trauma-informed practice, Orthobionomy, myofascial massage, and other therapeutic modalities.
I moved to New Zealand from Germany at 24, where I built my life as a mother and practitioner, founded and ran Vishuddhi Yoga and Meditation Centre in Christchurch for many years, and later established Kind Living in Dunedin.
My work today integrates holistic coaching and therapeutic bodywork to support women in reconnecting with themselves on both a physical, psychological and emotional level. I support clients to explore patterns, restore clarity, and reconnect with inner direction, while also working through the body to support nervous system regulation, presence, and change.
Co-regulation is an integral aspect of this work. I am deeply aware that my own state of being influences the space I hold, particularly through touch, and I have spent many years committed to ongoing inner practice and self-awareness to support steadiness, presence, and attunement in sessions.
This is especially important in trauma-informed bodywork with people living with trauma and PTSD, where regulation, safety, and attuned presence are central. My work is gentle and grounded, focusing on nervous system regulation, embodied awareness, and the gradual rebuilding of a felt sense of safety and connection within the body.
I believe that what we are ultimately seeking is the freedom to live in alignment with what is right for us. My work supports women to reconnect with their body, their energy, and a clearer sense of inner direction, so they can move toward what matters most.
