To the part of you that’s trying so hard

“I am not wrong.” 

This was the learning that allowed the knot of tension in my belly to soften.

I was guiding myself through the Universal Freedom Technique, one of the processes I also offer to my coaching clients, to clear some of the inner tensions that were getting in the way of moving forward with trust and ease.

Usually, I would hope for a more obviously affirming statement—something like “I am okay just as I am” or “I'm allowed.” But in that moment, “I am not wrong” held the most power. It gently released the pressure that had been building up inside.
